Speed Summary report

The Speed Summary report can be used to make a thorough analysis of ship speeds within any particular high-traffic passage.

Note: To produce the report for this example, we have created the "Active Pass" zone using the Zone Designer (green polygon).
Active Pass is a narrow passage used as the main ferry route between Canada's Southern Gulf Islands.

Creating the Speed Summary report:

• Click the Route Designer button  to open the Report Designer window.
• Select "<New>" from the Select Report drop-down list.
• Type “Active Pass Speed Summary” in the Report Name field.
• Leave the Enable box checked.
• Select “Speed Summary” from the Report Type drop-down list.
• Input "1 Day" into the Time Span field. The time span can be edited to only display information within the past N minutes, hours, days, or months.
• Select “Active Pass” from the Zone drop-down list.
• Leave the Filter option blank.

Click the Apply button to save your settings. Click the Test button to display the Speed Summary report.
