AIS and ARPA Target symbols

Web VTS displays two types of targets - AIS (triangle) and ARPA (circle).

Inmarsat, Iridium and Globalstar targets are displayed the same as AIS (triangle).

- a vessel that is carrying Class A AIS Transponder;

- a vessel that is carrying Class B AIS Transponder;

- an AIS Base Station;

- an Aid to Navigation (Buoy/Light house);

- a SAR Aircraft;

- an AIS equipped vessel that has stopped to broadcast AIS messages and its speed was less or equal 0.5 Knots;

- a selected vessel;

- an ARPA target.

- a weather buoy.
